I am a writer. My passion is poetry. I feel words connect people together and help us to understand the feelings we share.
In life, everything is a choice,
making a simple life seem complex
if your judgment is clouded by misleading information
causing one to make mistakes.
There is always a window
to make things right
but one is responsible
for his own actions.
Know the ones who truly love you
can understand life’s dilemmas,
willing to be there,
reaching out to grasp you
before you fall too far away.

Thank you, Janis.
I am glad you like this one.
Too often we forget there is someone who really cares.
Stop by again sometime.

Nice reminder that we are responsible for our lives. I like the last stanza emphasizing that we recall who will be there for us when those choices cause dilemma and heartache. Nice message.

Thank you, Lorna.
Your insight is so good. Yes, if only we can learn from our mistakes it would be nice.
It is sad we have to make the wrong choices in the first place.
Thanks for reading and as always, I love your comments.

There are definitely lessons to be learned in this poem Brenda. If only we could go back and right the mistakes we have made. However, if we can learn from our mistakes and not go down that path again then we haven't failed. I particularly enjoyed your last verse full of hope.
