Poem: Covid, Bid Us Farewell

I am a writer. My passion is poetry. I feel words connect people together and help us to understand the feelings we share.

Poem Summary

"Covid, Bid Us Farewell" is a poem I began writing yesterday when I went to get my Booster shot for Covid-19.

We are all tired of dealing with coronavirus. We want it to dissapear.

But thankfully, we have bonded together across the universe. We have compassion for one another.

Covid, Bid Us Farewell

Took my booster shot today…
oh Covid,
wont you go away,
I’m tired of dealing with your wrath,
I just want my old life back.

But maybe, a thank you is in order
because we actually care for one another,
you’ve ignited compassion inside of us again.

Since there’s strength in numbers
and we’re bonding across the universe,
you might as well bid us farewell,
because together we’re stronger than hell.

Not everything that is faced can be changed,

but nothing can be changed until it is faced.
