Poem: Boredom

I am a writer. My passion is poetry. I feel words connect people together and help us to understand the feelings we share.

Article Summary

"Boredom" is my response to "Word Prompts Help Creativity ~ Week 40.

Boredom

No matter how hard I try,
I cannot shake this feeling
I want to do something,
but I don’t know what to do.

I’m tired of doing the same old thing
day in and day out,
I need to feel some excitement
to experience something new,
but for some odd reason
nothing fancies my attention.

Acrostic Poem ~ Boredom

Barely able to contain myself
Only watching the hands on the clock spin
Really wanting something to do
Everything seems uninteresting
Dull and tedious
One thought rushing to another
Making me quite bored.

Life's Boring Moments

She hates those moments
when she’s tucked beneath the covers
watching as the rest of the world
spins past her.

Feeling under the weather
with no choice
but to stay in bed.

She tires easily watching reruns,
flipping the channels on the remote,
seeing the glare of the sunshine
wishing she were out there.
