Poem: Bombshell

I am a writer. My passion is poetry. I feel words connect people together and help us to understand the feelings we share.

"Thank You For the Broken Heart" by J. Rice Lyrics

Words spoken from your lips,
garbled in disbelief,
my heart sinking to the floor
as this bombshell explodes.

Lost in the confusion,
bewildered by your actions,
tears streaming down my cheeks,
the words “I love you”
still ringing in my ears,
remembering those tender hugs and kisses
before you left for work.

Your actions displaying a loving couple,
leaving no insight
for this shocking revelation,
a fate, I do not deserve,
killing my inner being
leaving me in complete and utter loss.

Dream on,

So glad you feel like you could read on & on..Thank you.

It is true if we focus on the good moments...we feel better.

But unfortunately nothing we do can erase the bad moments. They do exist.

Each day brings one to new challenge & chapter in his life...hopefully one can learn from those moments in the past to stand tall against any enemy heading his way.

Emotions are the way one deals with whatever comes his way...make the most of each one.

DREAM ON on September 08, 2020:

If I had all day I could read on and on. I do love to tune into people's emotions and think how do I feel? Is it the same or different? It is strange how our emotions play such an important part of who we are. Love is amazing when it is going well. When it takes a bad turn it can be a living xxxx. I found if I spend more time celebrating the good I have less time to feel the pain. Thank you for sharing.

I came back to read one of your writings and I could feel how you connect with the reader and make it so strong and powerful. Sometimes the saddest feelings we have triggered the happiest times also. Thank you for sharing.

This is a heartfelt poem. A broken heart is difficult to heal. At the time you can't see any tomorrows, but they come, and slowly the laughter returns.

Dream on,

Thank you so much for your heartfelt words.

It is too hard to see at the time when you are in the midst of it.

I am delighted you can feel its emotional pull.

Thank you for reading.

A broken heart hurts so much but is not impossible to fix. I always like to think it is their loss and you will find and deserve better. At the time it is so hard to see. An emotional poem that hits hard to all who have loved and lost. Thank you so much for digging in deep and going straight to the heart. Have a good night.

Thanks Cheryl,

It is a sad piece of work, but there are times like these which blindside us.
