Poem: Another Chance

I am a writer. My passion is poetry. I feel words connect people together and help us to understand the feelings we share.

"Another Try" by Josh Turner

Another Chance

No sound of regret from his lips,
only forgotten moments
hoping her heartache is healed.

He stretches out his arms
hugging her close, feeling the moments,
he longs to touch once more,
speaking words of kindness
hoping she hugs him back.

He wants her to love him
but has no willingness on his part to change,
hoping she still loves him
just like the good old days.

He doesn't realize a part of her
will never be the same,
since pieces of her heart
were scattered and lost,
on the day he broke her heart.
