Poem: Always You
I am a writer. My passion is poetry. I feel words connect people together and help us to understand the feelings we share.
Poem Summary
Always you is a poem about two people whose love is destroyed. They miss one another knowing that the words I'm sorry is not enough. They hold one another with tears of happiness in their eyes feeling a lonely heartache. The attraction they feel for one another pulls them back together.

Always You
She misses the heartfelt words
I love you,
the tender touch when he kisses her goodnight
but most of all,
She misses being wrapped in his arms.
She misses making him smile,
hearing him laugh,
seeing the light dancing in his eyes,
but most of all,
she misses the sound of his voice.
Her thoughts drive her insane
replaying each scene like it was yesterday,
yearning for time to reverse,
for the words
I’m sorry
isn’t quite enough.
Their love for one another
took a different path
losing the two of them along the way,
there are no words that can make it right,
no secret touch to make it reappear.
Only a lonely heartache
with tears of happiness,
as they hold one another close
attempting to feel a spark
to reignite their passion.
Each minute gets lost as time spins forward,
the force of this grip pulls them back
to an attraction too hard to escape.
