Poem: A New Beginning

I am a writer. My passion is poetry. I feel words connect people together and help us to understand the feelings we share.

Poem Summary

A new beginning is a poem about how she overcomes loneliness in times of isolation. She stops crying and starts appreciating each moment in time. She tackles each day with tranquility as she grasp every moment.

This poem resembles Covid-19 stay at home orders as well as particular times in life when one feels all alone.

A New Beginning

The wind of isolation

blows away the core of loneliness,

teaching her to embrace each moment

of this new reality.

No more tears

falling from her weary eyes,

she feels energetic

ready to tackle each single day.

Her soul discovers a new beginning,

sensing tranquility as she walks each step,

grasping moments amid this hellish journey.

Peggy,

Thank you.

I agree, it sounds like you had a wonderful start to your day.

May each day bring you such a relaxing atmosphere.

I surely miss the 70's and being outside.

Take care.

Manatita44,

I did find the one by Jimmy Cliff.

It is the same song just different singers.

Lol!

Have a great day my friend.

Each day is a new beginning of what will follow in this year of the pandemic and beyond. We must grasp what pleasure we can out of each day. Today I had a wonderful chat with one of our neighbors. We were sitting in rocking chairs on their porch, socially distant, of course, and had time to catch us on the news happening in both of our lives. What a treat! The temperature was in the low 70s, birds were singing, we noticed a cat sleeping on the roof of our home across the street, etc. It was a wonderful start to our day.

Manatita44,

Thank you.

I pray you are right.

The world could use a new beginning right now.

I will have to look up Eric's song by Jimmy Cliff.

Thank you again.

Have a great day.

Someone, I think it was Eric, played a 'sweet' piece by Jimmy Cliff. So comforting! Your man's piece (Johnny Nash) is just as charming. A 'New Beginning' all right. It will come, my dear. Have no fear. A great and exquisite write!!
