Poem 344: Dirt

Scientific Research Fellow in University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee

Dirt

Her mom never married twice.

Her dad remained unmarried forever.

She was not a sinner,

though she was an outcome of sin.

She was brought up like sand-

when she tried to grow,

powerful waves of social life washed the sand away.

At times she stayed with her mom,

at times with her dad, but never with a complete family-

an isolated island, hence remained ever alone.

Family is a tree, not a cactus.

She passed MA, got employed, was chosen.

She was totally different from her parents-

a cuckoo staying in the nest of a crow is never mistaken

because of its voice.

Let her new family be long lived!

Sea waves though destroy a sandy beach

can never break boulders!
