Perfection

Perfection – unattainable :

A guiding star

To students, artists,

Continuously inspiring

Them for improvement;

A source of humility

For the Enlightened,

Saving them from

The vices of blindening ego.

Perfection – unattainable :

A tool and a weapon.

Perfection – unattainable :

But, measurable ?!

By man –

Whose perfection lies

In being imperfect ?!

Perfection – the Creator’s Nature :

Dissolve in its infinity

Through surrender.

Vanita,

I know this is my second comment, but I figured I would help keep it posted for comments.

Your writing describes how hard it is for us humans to attain perfection.

There is only one route in which we may find it..the devine creator.

Vanita,

Wonderful poem.

The topic of perfection is a difficult one to achieve.

I doubt if any of us are perfect but we do the best we can.

Your poem soeaks volumes. Great writing.

A lovely piece!

In my Magnum Opus: My Guru Sri Chinmoy: Life and Teachings, there's a Chapter called, A Glimpse Into the Self-Transcendence of Sri Chinmoy. You might like it. Om Shanti!

What an insightful poem Vanita! I enjoyed reading it.

I always try to be perfect in everything I do, but as they say—There is always scope for improvement.

But your poem is perfectly expressed, to convey the concept of ‘Perfection.’

This was a delight to read. Thank you for sharing.

MG Singh emge from Singapore on February 02, 2021:

Great thoughts here Vanita. The word 'perfection' is a unique word. It can be interpreted in multiple ways and in multiple scenarios.

Thanks for sharing.
