Patience - Poems Based on Brenda’s Prompt

I'm interested in social issues, relationships, problems of daily living, jobs, exercise, poems and fiction, plus safer living conditions.

Poetry About Patience

Brenda Arledge has given us our 44th prompt, “Patience”. She must be a patient person as she reads and kind of diagnoses our responses in a wonderful way.

Over the last 48 hours my internet has been out much of the time, and this tries my patience. Normally I am patient about most things. I believe I have become more patient with age. I think it is a choice we all make. Choose to be happy and not react when something does not go your way. Life sure feels better when you live that way.

Patience With A Child

Children can certainly try your patience at times, despite how much we love them. However, patience with a child is so important.

Mommy, Mommy. please come here

I’m busy sweetheart, wait my dear

She smiled saying I will appear

But Mommy I can’t wait all year

Hurry Mommy I need you now

Be patient, I am busy my dear

Stop yelling, that I will not allow

Be patient, yelling I will not hear

Mommy you must hurry right now

Mommy raised her voice this time

She finished her chore with a scow

Guess what it is now your bedtime

Synonyms of Patience

Stay composed despite the problem

Perseverance of effort builds true grit

Fortitude is courage when things get tough

Moderation will help to keep your focus

Tolerate problems, don’t get upset

No annoyance when confronted with delay

Diligence with persistent work or effort

Endurance when your life is unpleasant

Take It Easy
