Many doors,

One room,

Do I make my choices,

Or are they made for me?

Before my first breath,

Before the genesis of time,

Was I meant to walk a certain path,

Or am I allowed my own decisions,

My own blunders,

Am I truly paving my own way,

Or simply following the trail set before me?

Another thoughtful poem! Reminds me a little of of Revelation 3.7.

Erin Bower (author) from Georgia on July 15, 2018:

Wow! Thanks so much. I'm flattered! :)

Audrey Hunt from Idyllwild Ca. on July 15, 2018:

A thought=provoking poem which I am saving to return to. I seldom save poetry so this gives you some idea of how much I like this one,

Oscar Jones from Monroeville, Alabama on May 02, 2018:

truthfully, the size of the subject you wrote about makes a big statement all my itself. It encapsulates a serious life question of which you leave the answer open to interpretation. That in itself shows your confidence.

Erin Bower (author) from Georgia on May 02, 2018:

I probably could have gone on, but I chose to keep it short. Thanks for your honest comment!

Oscar Jones from Monroeville, Alabama on April 29, 2018:

Nice start. I had a feeling while reading that there was more to say. Lol
