Love alone is real

Expressing Gratitude

I am grateful. I am grateful to my Lord Beloved Supreme, because He has chosen me to become an instrument of His Will and Consciousness – me, a tiny ant, striving to make a difference … to inspire the message of Love, in His cosmic play.

I am grateful. I am grateful to my Lord Beloved Supreme, because He has given me the capacity, out of His infinite bounty, to become an instrument through thoughts, words and deeds, so that I can serve my brothers and sisters – His creation.

I am grateful to God for my Spiritual Mentor – the Seer-visionary, who taught me all I know … who encouraged and inspired me to Love … to serve God’s children in this world in which I live.

Finally, I am grateful to my parents, my children, my friends, my fellow writers and authors on Hub pages and beyond. I am grateful to life … to Mother Earth, for all that she has given and taught me, in this field of righteousness.

The Golden Dawn

My Heart’s beauty; braids of gold;

Empress of the sun … I see Her,

Singing with celestials in Paradise;

Dancing with the heavenly shooting stars.

Lying on the red thread of my memories, She

Unwraps a tapestry of tomorrows,

Weaving the cute flare of moonlight,

To unveil my promising dreams.

A snow-white orchid, She breathes fragrances

Into my breath; polishing my outer mirror with smiles.

Her sweetest Love, has dispelled my mists

Of shadows … showing only an illustrious Light.

A sacred Flower, floating on the ocean of enchantment, my Beloved

Laughs with joy and sorrow; caressing my gaze at the golden dawn.

-Manatita, The Lantern Carrier. 11th June, 2020

The 'switch' of Love

A snow-white lilly, there’s no room for cobwebs on my gaze;

I have tamed the beasts of anger, greed, ego and insecurity.

Flipping on my home-switch, I see only a lustrous Light,

Borne straight from the meadow of ceaseless Love.

Tomorrow is another day and today well spent,

Prepares and shapes my journey. I rise at dawn,

Hear the lark sings and aspires to its eloquence and vivacity.

The charm of daffodils and seasonal spring, fills my Heart with

Wonder; I take in another soothing breath, joyful to be alive.

Sea water rushes towards me, bringing a rhythmic melody ... a

Reflective piece of music, of all that is good and noble ... full

Of peace and Light. I bow in sweet reverence, offer myself to the

Glories of creation, praying all kindred Spirits, may breathe this Love.

Tears drip, as I feel all ‘mushy’ inside – a leaf floating on the

Ocean of Your enchantment. You enter my Heart, like a flame

At night; laugh as we talk about Joy and sorrow. I was searching

For Love in the darkness, but roused by the rays of illustrious dawn.

- Manatita, The Lantern Carrier. 11th June, 2020

Quotes from Sri Chinmoy

“Prayer is purity. It purifies the mind, which is always subject to doubt, fear, worry and anxiety, and is always assailed by wrong thoughts and wrong movements. When we pray, purification takes place in our minds, and purity increases our God-receptivity.”

“…each time we pray, our inner receptacle becomes large, larger, largest. Then purity, beauty, light and delight can enter into that receptacle and sport together in the inmost recesses of our heart.” – Sri Chinmoy

Quotes from Sri Chinmoy

Meditation says, "Lord Supreme, out of Your infinite bounty, You have chosen me to be Your instrument to manifest You here on earth in Your own way. You could have chosen somebody else to play the role, but You have granted me the golden opportunity. To You I offer my constant gratitude, my gratitude-heart."- Sri Chinmoy.

"This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that a man should lay down his life for his friends. You are My friends if you do what I command you.…" John 15: 12 - 15 (Holy Bible)

Shauna L Bowling from Central Florida on June 12, 2020:

Manatita, thank you for this beautiful tribute to our resident Carb Diva, Linda Lum.

She's my cyber-sister. Linda and I have a lot in common but we have our differences, too. That's the definition of sisters. We share a common thread, but each is unique.

I respect, love, and cherish Linda. She has a special place in my heart.

Thank you for honoring the beautiful souls of this world.

manatita44 (author) from london on June 12, 2020:

Either way is fine. Do not underestimate this voice called 'conscience'. We all have it and we are all similar. Some off my friends would laugh, if Guruji mentioned a particular negative quality. Whether it was doubt, jealousy, fear or something else. Yet they very quickly realized that he was right.

Negatives are related to all souls and spiritual masters, simply tap into the soul, which then gives the info to the master. Still, my earlier assertion is that we do know, either consciously or unconsciously, because conscience tells us. It's not rocket science.

Thanks for visit number two. Much Love.

Eric Dierker from Spring Valley, CA. U.S.A. on June 12, 2020:

The portions on Expressing Gratitude and into the Golden Dawn, ring true to my heart. Who am I to judge what bothers me? Yet I can judge what is good for me.

manatita44 (author) from london on June 12, 2020:

Yes Theresa,

I cover them all in my new book called Maxims For Our Children. They are so important! Peace to you!

Thank you. You stay safe too. May the trees talk to you and the garden send you more Love. Then you can distribute even more in your prayer, eh? We seem to need a lot right now. May the fragrance of your kitchen permeate our lives. Lol. Stay safe.

Ah, Peggy,

I just closed the comments as you popped in. So good to see you! yes, I grew up with the Beatitudes and they are very, very powerful when one hears them in films. So precious! Peace.

Linda Lum from Washington State, USA on June 12, 2020:

Manatita, God created us in love to be love and to be a reflection of His love. Each day when I awaken I begin with a clean slate, a new day without mistakes. I ask God to walk with me and guide my footsteps. Of course, I stumble, but I try to live my life in love. Thank you for this offering.

May you have a blessed weekend. Stay safe my friend.

Lorna Lamon on June 12, 2020:

Love is believed to have set the universe in motion according to medieval theology. In reading this beautiful hub that is exactly what I felt. Whether in gratitude, poetry or the meaningful quotes you have set love in motion. A wonderful and deserving tribute to Linda.

manatita44 (author) from london on June 12, 2020:

Thanks, Bill,

It will make her chuckle.

Well Pamela,

This is what I call a complete comment. You even wished me a wonderful weekend. You take care, my Pamela with the charming smile and stay safe

Love writes a message to Love. How cool is that? You picked a winner in Linda, my friend. She is just about as nice as they come, and I'm proud to call you both friends.

manatita44 (author) from london on June 12, 2020:

Lol. I note that you keep promising to be back later a few times, Bro. Take your time, as yes, I say a lot in a few words. Peace!

Eric Dierker from Spring Valley, CA. U.S.A. on June 12, 2020:

Wonderful. I will be back later as this is worth the while to take parts and think on them.

manatita44 (author) from london on June 12, 2020:

Love is God and Gratitude is the life-breath of God. They are inseparable. Here are a couple of quotes:

"The most beautiful thing on earth, is man's gratitude to the Supreme, to God, to the divinity in humanity. This is the beauty unparalelled, and it will remain so, throughout eternity." - Sri Chinmoy

"There is only one thing that is, was and ever shall be and that is Love. The Love that creates, the Love that nourishes and the Love that sustains God's universe." - Sri Chinmoy

Your points are valid and meaningful. A great contribution.

P.S. We can say, if you like, that the Absolute is either neti, neti (Not this, not that), or Sat, Chit, Ananda (Existence, Consciousness/Spirit, Bliss) and that Love, Compassion ... Gratitude, Light and so forth, are Its attributes. Hari OM!

Rosina S Khan on June 12, 2020:

I have read somewhere love and gratitude have the same frequency. Love is the strongest force in nature. Hate cannot solve hate but definitely love can. Your poems are beautiful and so are the quotes from Sri Chinmoy. Thanks for sharing.
