One More Way To Make A Difference

Find Things You Love

Repeat them over and over

For me, it is spending time with my wife

If it is food shopping or doing errands

Sharing activities at home

Sometimes necessary chores that need to be done

From the dirty laundry to the sink full of dishes

Going out for a light lunch

To see her smile makes me very happy

Every day has many exciting challenges

When we have to go to work

When we really want to do anything else

We know we have to pay the bills

Working together we make a dent

Eventually, we will pay them down and finally off

Always trying to put a little extra aside

We keep aiming for a simpler life

One that we can live with little struggle or strife

Gypsy Rose Lee I don't like fire especially when it is that close. You never know. The wind can change direction and you have a whole new situation. I am glad you are safe. I feel so bad about the church. You should write a story about it. I am sure so many people can relate to it. I hope your writing jobs continue to pick up and when you get famous not if you don't forget the little people here on HubPages. I also say prayers for you. That one day it will all work out. Until that time keep trying and smiling. I love to see a lot more happiness. It has to come from within. It can't be rushed or forced. So when the time is right I would love to see you dip those feet in the cold water to cool off. Sit on the sand and make a sandcastle even if someone is watching you. Find things that make you happy. Writing is beautiful. It sometimes drifts away until we write again. I want to see something more permanent. A good laugh. A smile from the heart. Life can be pretty hard sometimes. You have gone through a lot. Keep on writing and sharing your talent. There is a greater story to be told. Thank you for not only sharing your thoughts and opinions. For caring when the pen stops.

John Hansen You have been reading my poetry for so long. I have to give you a medal of bravery. I can't believe I haven't scared you away yet. I am so happy you can read through my crazy impulses and hidden thoughts and see what I am trying to say in five- hundred words or less. I have been known to talk ragtime. Even Google doesn't explain it well. Google makes it sound good. Odd stories that connect with life. If I could put it to music then most people would suddenly be tone-deaf. It is so nice to have a friend in faraway places. I put my idea on hold. I thought I might push away my regular visitors. As it is my numbers are dwindling fast. Well here is to another day in the sun. Drinking lots of water and digging up a sumac tree that tried to bully me. Have a wonderful Father's Day.

BRENDA ARLEDGE It is the only life I know. Why not share it with the world. Sometimes it can be pretty boring. When it has a little bit of action I like to keep you in suspense. Lots of love like sappy after-school specials. Which I still love. Crazy endings that I couldn't make up. I hope to bring humor to your day. A bigger laugh where there was one. A smile that stays on your face even after you take a long, hot, soapy shower. There are few things in life that mean more to me than real genuine people being themselves behind closed doors and long after the doors have been opened. Thank you for making my day. Wishing you the simplest moments with the greatest pleasure. Pleasant dreams.

Being all alone it is always with the Lord's help that I get through my days. Often stopping to remind me that things could be worse and I have a lot to be thankful for. For instance, it kind of spooked me last night, We have a short little street our house is on and suddenly last night it filled up with firefighters and rescue equipment, On the corner across the street is a lovely old abandoned church and last night for some reason it was on fire, The entire roof was burning I could see the fires through the palm trees and from my window. The firefighters had a hard time putting out that fire, So I looked upward and I said a prayer that they would contain it and nodded and said Oh, yes, things could be a lot worse and thank heavens we don't live right next to it or right across the street from the church, It was certainly some reminder, Today the church stands sad and gutted and there were even news reporter along the street this morning, I as usual keep myself busy at my laptop and continue valiantly writing and hoping for better times, I hope you and yours have a wonderful weekend,

I can totally relate to these words, Dream On. It seems we have similar values and simple things that make us happy.

I love how your poetry included your everyday life.

It's great to share time together...even the simple moments.
