loneliness

loneliness

Night's cold and chilling

As it traces me, I’m fading

As it curves, smile’s melting

"You're alone!" wind's whispering

Inch by inch, self's engulfing

No one noticed I'm drowning

Happy memories are fleeting

"You're alone!" wind's whispering

Eaten by sadness, they're just staring

Then void went my system, controlling

A streak of light and hope, I'm wishing

"Help me!" I silently shout, no one's listening

BRENDA ARLEDGE from Washington Court House on September 05, 2020:

No one seems to know what another person is truly feeling.

It's like we have to shout ut from the rooftop for others to even notice.

I feel the pain of loneliness.
