On a Samhain Night
What a perfect Samhain night
See how thin the veil
Ancestors coming through the light
Oh what things they had to tell.
Stories of the olden ways
When everyone worked together
Back to a time of glory days
Everything was so much better.
There was no war, no famine
No destructors of mankind
Love for all things in the hearts of men
All in tune with the Divine.
They also brought a warning
Of an Earth scorched to ashes by heat
Every night, afternoon, or morning
It grows even hotter underneath.
We must heed what the ancestors told
To be heard by all pagans, indians, and witches
Not just one type of personal mold
But everyone needs to guard the trenches.
We all need to become more aware
Of the destroyers to our Mother
It's a burden we must all share
As there won't ever be another.
All of us need to repair
The damage that's been done
With tender loving care
We must all work as one.
So on this holy Samhain
Listen to the Ancestors' Call
To every word said, do hearken
Before there's nothing left at all.
