On This Valentine

I am no poet, just a thrower of words. Still wandering what's life and why and how did I end up here?

A Free Verse Poem

On this valentine who's lying motionlessly on the death bed,
shivering with the coldness of age;
you know the warmth of beat rigid matter of life
that's dwelt within us
cries out loud for the rational one, is grief.
When you tormented the name of the,' missed one',
name of the separated one,the one you loved,
the one you kissed, the one you longed for,
the one you lived for,
ah-the very soul you at last died for.
On this valentine, I'm taking my aspirations of happiness away,
for grief creeps in always.
Luck favors all but me in this case.

A poignant and well-penned work. Holidays can cause special sadnesses with the sentiments and memories of those whom we treasured, and now miss so deeply.
