On Keeping the House Clean
I can't seem to stop writing poetry or reading poetry. I think it is safe to say I love poetry and I love sharing great poetry with others.
There was an old kitchen worth scrubbing
which deserved all the excess rubbing
over there a juice stain
staying clean staying sane
a stretch before olympic mopping.
There was a living room with much dust
or the table with left over crust
one must spend most the day
this cleaning as our play
the only way to keep out the rust.
There was an old stain on my carpet
was this from my children or a pet
time for carpet shampoo
before this stain can stew
my carpet is under constant threat.
There was a bathroom in need of bleach
the floor dirty as black sanded beach
we're pulling all the stops
by using all the mops
there is no bathroom beyond our reach.
There is no time to watch T.V.
the laundry it piles up like crazy
my friends tell me to rest
as I clean after guest
consequences of being cozy.

Nice poem on an aspect I really try to avoid, unless it is relating to my dog ha-ha.
