Oh How I Wonder?

Author:
oh-how-i-wonder

Oh how I wonder

Why does it rain?

Why doth a storm

Cause so much pain.

x

Oh how I wonder

Why the wind roars

Conveying terror

Through to the cores.

x

Oh how I wonder

Why doth each quake

Destroy those lives

How hearts do break.

x

Oh how I wonder

Where is the sun?

Where is the warmth

Laughter and fun.

x

Oh how I wonder

Why is the pain

Vivid and raw?

What is the gain?

X

Oh how I wonder

I rise and grow

Faith through life’s storms

Forms each rainbow.

X

Oh how I wonder

Deep in my heart

Trusting my being

Right from the start.

X

Now when I wonder

I hold my head high

Knowing my faith

Will carry me by.

Hi Eddy,

I think that most of us ponder the same things about the storms of life. In the end, it is our faith that comforts us.

Shauna L Bowling from Central Florida on February 28, 2020:

Eddy, your style of poetry is unique. It's easy to read. Your words paint pictures that easily flow through the mind until the last stanza gently points us to the meaning of it all.

Please don't ever stop wondering!

Thank you for stopping by Eric and taking the time to comment. I am a great believer in inner strength and listening to our gut feelings. I also believe that something good comes from most bad things even though we may at times have yo look a little harder to find it. Here's to so many more for us both to share on here.
