Ode to Beauty, II: A Salutation to Carb Diva
Snow-white flower
Wisdom of Sri Chinmoy
"You are God’s Beauty:
Beauty human,
Beauty divine,
Beauty supreme.
This lofty truth shall forever remain unchallenged." -Sri Chinmoy
"Love is beauty's sweet touch." -Sri Chinmoy
Wings of beauty
Inner beauty, etches its thrill in a soul on fire,
Pulling at the wings of its enchantment.
The rose's dauntless fragrance and sweet sacrifice,
Evokes a soft, sacred longing;
A paragon of delight in a Heart of Love.
You have not done so badly, my dear.
So what if thorns at times veil thy splendour?
The Beloved responds to the sweet scent
Of lavender wafts, breathing in thy soul.
You have not done so badly, my dear.
O radiant beauty, O my pure, snow- white flower,
The aroma of thy inner garlands,
Gives life to my hopes; hold silent
Conversations with the core of my longing,
Reaching out to the pinnacle of your dreams.
The beauty of innocent play
Come! Let us be like innocent children,
Playing without guile;
Dancing beneath the whistling bamboo;
Singing and sharing our naiveté- pranks;
Melting the Hearts of all whom we encounter.
O radiant beauty, O my pure, snow- white flower,
Let us go to the haven of Love.
As my thoughts linger in your direction,
So doth thy Spirit sing like the hummingbird,
Sprinkling a delectable recipe, inside my hungry soul.
Light, my Light, I am in your scented rays;
Bloom in the garden of your constant aromas.
I lie in the effulgence of your tender Spirit,
Absorbed in the aspirations of thy tomorrows.
O my priceless, creative and delicate flower, Come!!

You have created lovely poetry as usual. Beauty comes in many forms. Some of it can be seen and in other cases felt or experienced such as in dreams.
Beautiful tribute to a talented hubber and as usual your poem is excellent!
Beauty for me is the beautiful Nature and what can be more beautiful than a child’s smile!
Thanks for sharing this lovely poem!
Manatita, I do not feel worthy of these beautiful words. You are a wonderful loving soul. You speak of gardens, the thorns of life, and you offer comfort and reassurance.
And then "Sprinkling a delectable recipe, inside my hungry soul." How clever. I so very much appreciate your friendship.
The power of the fragrance outweighs the prick of the thorns. I like that. Scent of beauty!
You do consistently beautiful work, Manatita. This one is breathtaking.
