Ocean of Symbols

I have been writing poetry, fiction and short stories for many years and have completed a book of poems. I also enjoy comedy writing.

Ocean Waves

Ocean Waves

Play me a song

Play me a song of the ocean

Let my senses tingle with watery symbols

Give me a sound

Something from the deep blue

Is that the ocean in a shell, listen, this sound is for you

Be tranquil with the rhythm of the ocean's wave

A splash on a rock is a rock band's fave

Listen as the water reseeds from the sand

Beautifully orchestrated for an eloquent band

Fishes splash, a sound of the water splitting and then a join

Listen as the stones skip on the water top, spinning like a coin

Such a subtle sound at nights, a violin of darkness.

Calm, relaxed and beautifully played

As the rhythm of the deep begins to sleep

Not a dweller insight, not even the water's maid

Playing all day, sending out a vibration of sound origin

To begin a new symbol tomorrow, as if it was in the beginning.

Play me a song

Play me one of the ocean's

Let my senses tingle with watery symbols

Please, play me the ocean.

So sorry Clive but I called the coppers. They will be there soon. It has got to be illegal to sell this intoxicant.

"Please, play me the ocean."

What an enchanting poem, Clive. The sea or ocean is always a great subject.
