O Love, Pour Into my Heart, Your Golden Silence

Like children playing, we frolicked in the pristine white

Of winter, throwing snowballs to infinitude. I gazed

At Your beauty, seeing a gentleness and tenderness

Unsurpassed, as You danced upon the zephyrs.

Now that You have chosen to smile upon me,

I no longer fear the darkness. No more the mist

Of Shadows, only Your ocean of ambrosial Delight.

Having struggled through a sea of dark clouds, I

Now kiss a river of enchanting rays, lovingly

Descending from the radiance of Thy cheeks.

For You, my Beloved, I have given everything, if only to cement

Our yesterdays, todays and tomorrows, into a moment of

Unending Bliss. We’ll wade through death, like the moon

And stars do to darkness, paving a way for the sun to follow.

Who knows this long journey; of the pangs of separation?

Before this sweet union, the price was too high! Yet after

The intoxication - this bewildering trance - the price is never

Right. O Love, pour into my Heart Your golden Silence.

- Manatita, The Lantern Carrier. March, 22nd, 2021.
