Not My Favorite Things

Author:
Do you ever feel the need to hibernate?

Do you ever feel the need to hibernate?

Raindrops on my glasses, tiny whiskers on my chin,

Nasty pots and pans in the kitchen once again,

Garbage cans filled to the top, stinks like a pig pen,

Brown paper packages, all piled up in the den,

These are just a few of my unfavorite ten.

Green colored bread loaves, two weeks old souffle',

Smelling up the kitchen, my few hairs are turning grey,

Stinky flies that buzz with grit on their wings,

Escaped hanging fly-paper, my mother-in-law brings,

These are a few more of my unfavorite things.

Bird poop on my car windows, dog pooh on my shoe,

That queasy feeling in my tummy, I might have the Flu,

My new silver tennis shoes I bought without strings.

These all are some more of my unfavorite things.

When the mad dog bites, the yellow jacket stings,

I'm allergic to both, as my demise, it well brings.

When I get slap-happy, after beer drinking flings,

I simply try to forget, my most unfavorite things.

Raindrops on my glasses, tiny whiskers on my chin,

Here we go all over, with this crazy song, once again...

That's the sorriest blankity-blank tune I've ever heard...

That's the sorriest blankity-blank tune I've ever heard...

That's an interesting take on a famous song. I was humming the tune in my head!
