Not Again (Santa Fe)

Not another morning
I can no longer sleep
For hope was once born at dawn
The belief in a new day
Now it is only a reminder
It's true, he's really gone away

Not another night
I can no longer weep
To me beauty does belong
The calm in a sunset
Is it to be found ever
In a world that can only betray

Who shall I forgive at high noon?
Can love us all to keep?
As we share this unholy wrong
And my heart is sealed
The spirit above the water
Moves silently reminding me to pray

I see the sun and moon
In every moment their light may meet
As witnesses to what they knew all along
We will fail once again
But I have vowed to my savior
Vengeance not I seek by night or by day
