No Matter What It Does To Me

This time there was no choice
Once I couldn't make up my mind
But now there's no doubt
Not because of loneliness
Or an empty street at night
Only you parting the street light

What kind of love is it
Divided and unsure
I never really have a plan
And I don't have one now
Only the feeling of belonging
A flower under the sun longing

Tell me where we go is the right way
Being there is not asking about it
Not different ways of trying to find it
It's got to be me no matter what
No matter what it does to me

I wish I was more detached
Such a hard loving soul
It's not good for anybody
Nobody chooses to live that way
But if that's what you are
Your caregiver is tonight's first star

Tell me where we go is the right way
Being there is not asking about it
Not different ways of trying to find it
It's got to be me no matter what
No matter what it does to me

@maven101 - Thank you my friend. I play the piano and have some melodies. I just like to write lyrics/prose. It's hard to find the time to put it all together. I always appreciate your kind words.

You almost revealed yourself but still remain hidden... thank you for these heartfelt and insightful lyrics... wish I could produce complimentary music to go with your words....
