Next Christmas Will Be Brighter

Umesh is a freelance writer contributing his creative writings on varied subjects in various knowledge and educational sites in internet.

Christmas is a time to celebrate and rejoice with friends and family. It is the festival at the end of the year when we seek forgiveness from the Lord for our misdeeds and mistakes during the year and at the same time seek blessings for the coming new year. It is definitely a very important time when we aspire of good times ahead and pray Him to help us to attain those prosperous goals. Prayers to the Lord always make us brave and bold for facing the challenges expected in the future which is generally uncertain but with the blessings of the kind Lord, the journey could become smoother.

This poem is an effort in that direction only and the composition presented is the culmination of such thoughts.

Next Christmas will be brighter

The sad year left behind,

Now ending with this Christmas.

Bringing new aspirations and,

Harbinger of hopes for us.

This is time to rejoice and enjoy,

And thank the Almighty.

The testing times seem to be over,

Again humans are proved mighty.

We will be keeping caution and care,

Managing this dreadful time.

To reach the destination of,

When next Christmas bells chime.

We have to take all the care,

With the magic of Christmas elves.

As God also help them,

The devotees, who help themselves.

Xmas has come and gone for 2000 years and every year we hope for a brighter Xmas but it sometimes also leads to the nadir of human bestiality like the Nazi regime and now the Chinese regime. I sincerely hope the next Xmas will show the path forward.

I am certain God helps those Xmas elves.

I am hoping for a brighter year.

I fear though troubles may be around the corner with a recent intentional explosion occurring in Nashville Tn this morning.

I pray it is not another test before a terror attack.

Enjoy this Christmas and each moment. Take nothing for granted.

Be happy.
