My only Hope
My heart has tasted the
hotness of fire that burns
emotions to ashes,
the fiery in my eyes bleeds feelings
to be remembered no more,
rivers of broken water,
feelings of broken record
has strangled the butterflies in my bowels to death.
Who'll quench this fiery in my soul?
For the sun is hot and the ocean dry.
But I'll stand at my watch until the sky rain
its waters of heaven on me.
To quench this fiery,
To brighten me up,
And to make me whole again.
I'll stand and watch!
I'll stand and wait!
