My Night Before Christmas - A Poem
Writing poetry is an alternative form of self-expression and communication. What is the message you take away as you read this poem?
My Night Before Christmas
It's the night before Christmas
The cupboards are bare
I don't have a dollar
But shucks, I don't care
With a family that loves me
That's all I need
And friends that stay loyal
Ah, yes, indeed
I've never felt better
I'm blessed with good health
I count all my blessings
And add up my wealth
My world's full of beauty
I love everyday
Nature's paintings surround me
And show me the way
May whatever I do
As I travel this road
Leave an imprint of love
And a brave story told
Now my cupboards are full
With no room to spare
With music, a dog
And a family so rare
Have a wonderful Christmas
Have a wonderful year
With Angels beside me
I will see you next year
