My Mind Is Separate From My LIfe

I Don't See Twenty-Twenty

I see farther and deeper under the skin

Like a fresh buttered ear of corn

I crave and want

Can't wait for another bite

Delicious and mouth-watering

Teasing and pleasing

My taste buds on an all-time high

When finished there is nothing left

I roll the bare ear on the leftover butter, salt, and pepper

Only to suck away at the chewed empty cob

Like a juicy lollypop with tons of flavor

That was the best tasting corn of the year

Even though I have loved so many different ears of corn

As I move on with my day

Each good thought begins to fade

I hope I can add to my joy

Finding new thoughts that make me happy

DREAM ON (author) on September 17, 2020:

Prithviraj Shirole I try to write as often as I can. Many times I am writing something new and it isn't finished yet. So I keep reading over my comments and see them every day. When I finish my new piece then I go back and respond to all the comments that have pushed me in the right direction. I feel like an old car I stall sometimes but I after a few minutes I am up and going again. Thank you so much for all your support and comments. I hope you had a lovely day. Then tomorrow I hope it is amazing.
