My Little Tribute to Canada: A Poem

Val is a life-long practically oriented student of effective emotional and attitudinal responses to the many challenges of life.

Canada doesn't need to be strong

'cause she doesn't make any foes

and it has never turned out wrong

that we insisted on our clean nose.

Canada won't brag to be the best

let others indulge with that dream

just good enough for a warm nest

instead of pride--with self-esteem.

Canada is not some melting pot

but rich specter of cultural trends

no one's accent is bothering a lot

ethnicities turned out good friends.

Canada has problems for its share

maybe because humans dwell here

but nothing really like a major scare

that with cool heads can't disappear.

Canadians feel trusted and secure

with no such need to be protected

our global ties are friendly and sure

as all sober countries are connected.

So Canada was the country of my choice

where I can always feel respected and free

and I just can't say it with loud enough voice

there's no place on earth that I would rather be.

Dana---Thank you, I am glad you liked the poem. There are not so many places on earth that are "universally" beautiful---it's all subjective, so if you ever visit, I hope you will be among those who will make some good memories here.

Michael---It's true, and even if others didn't see anything special about it, it's enough that we do.

Canada is Canada because the majority of population are people in it; if we stop loving, appreciating what's ours, who will ?

      Eh?!
