My Dolly My Dolly

My sweet Dolly.

My sweet Dolly.

My darling Dolly,

My special pup,

She gives me hope,

She gives me love,

A young menace,

Short and sweet,

Holy terror,

At my feet.

Dolly loves her play yard.

Dolly loves her play yard.

Teeth as sharp,

As sharp can be,

A puppy mind,

Knows no mean.

She plays with balls,

And runs the hall,

Annoys the cats,

A real brat.

Dolly meets my grandson, Kaden.

Dolly meets my grandson, Kaden.

It’s puppy love,

A spark of joy,

Sent from above,

Like a gift dropped,

Straight from Heaven,

My Dolly’s my Dolly,

My new companion.

Devoted puppy love.

"If only mom would let me sleep."

"If only mom would let me sleep."

A few short weeks,

Attached together,

Walks and playtime,

Despite the weather,

To think I wasn’t ready,

To love a dog again,

Here comes my Dolly,

My new best friend.

Dolly's adventures with her feline friend.

I was not sure I wanted another dog.

After losing my dog, Whimpy in May. I was not certain I wanted to get attached to another dog. Whimpy was one of a kind. He was left to me by my late husband, Bill. Bill spoiled him rotten. I know when I lost Bill in December of 2014, that I would have been extra lonesome had it not been for Whimpy. I continued where Bill left off. Whimpy became my life. I spoiled him even more.

Whimpy lived to be thirteen. I knew the day was coming. I guess, I wasn’t expecting it to be so soon. The grief still very much present from losing my husband Bill, all came back full circle when I lost Bill’s dog.

My grandson, Tyler works the pipelines. He brought home a present for grandma from West Virginia. It was a surprise. I could very easily have refused the gift, but when I saw her I knew she was mine. I instantly had a name for her without any further thinking about it. A doll baby’s name should be Dolly.
