My Camel, My Love
I'm a mathematician and have taught mathematics and related courses for over 3 years. Still working on myself. Still I rise
My Camel, My Love
My love, how I love thee
For I love thee like my camel
You are as beautiful as my camel
And I love thee so
A beast of burden they call it
For true, it assists me to carry
Not only my commercial goods
Across the desert
But also my personal belongings
From place to place
But my camel means
More than just that to me
Yes, my camel means much to me
My constant companion on
My journeys across the desert
It endures not only
The heat during the day
But also the contrasting cool of the night
And together we gaze at the
Star-lit desert sky at night
From its skin, I have a tent for shelter
Clothing for my body
And sandals for my feet
Ornaments I make from its bones
Nourishment I get from its meat
And nutrition I get from its milk
Thereby sustaining my life
And keeping me healthy
My adoration for my camel
Can, therefore, be seen
And such too is the adoration
I have for you my love
And believe me, my love
When I say
That I love you
As I love my camel.
