I wrote this poem as a thank you to the wonderful staff at Moving On,for all the help and support they have given me on my journey of recovery.
As it was through their help that I got back my interest in writing, I thought I would challenge myself.
An acrostic poem, but also the first word in each line ending in ing, and making it rhyme.
Making me aware, I’m not doing this on my own.
Offering me support, on the journey I am on.
Valuing me, for the person that I am.
Inspiring me, to get out of this jam.
Nothing to stop me, reaching for my goal.
Giving me the tools, to help me take control.
Opening up my eyes, to the life that I can live.
Nurturing me, to see past the negative.

Another great verse; you say a lot about yourself and them in a well-crafted rhyme.

Nice acrostic with a good rhyme scheme and a nice thank you in appreciation to 'Moving On.'

Charlie, I really enjoyed the reading's rhythm and the contents you invested in your thanks for their assisting you to recover. IMO it is very well written.
I once wrote one that the first and last words of each line rhymed, just to see if I could do it, why not try that one out for something different?
