A Song by Sri Chinmoy

"The blue-bird, the blue-bird, the blue-bird, the blue,

All you are is supremely true.

Your soul's infinity's height,

All where you sprinkle, oneness-Delight." -Sri Chinmoy's song.

All Those Tender Kisses, in The Garden of The Beloved One. A Free Verse Sonnet

All those tender kisses ... the redolence of roses,

Are but poor imitations,

Of the sugarcane juice in Paradise.

Let my earthly fever, rise into a drunkenness of Love;

The burning spine an awakened Kundalini,

Rising up to meet its Master Lord.

Mere Prabhu, how I long to drink the wine

At Your supernal banquet ... to be Your eternal slave.

Die! Die! O Lantern, die to the chains that bind you.

Burn your bitterness and become sweet.

Your quest for this effulgent Light, is driving you insane.

Let the 'more' that you seek, be only the longing --

The one-pointed ray of infinity,

Pulling you to the Garden of the Beloved Ones.

Teachings of the Master Sri Chinmoy

"Karma Yoga is the Yoga of dedicated service. In the ordinary life, we have a motive when we work. There is always something we want to achieve. But if our only aim is to please God in His own way through our dedicated selfless service, if we do not care for anything else — not for name or fame or outer success — then this is real Karma Yoga. In Karma Yoga we progress toward union with God through our selfless actions." Sri Chinmoy

Work: Cantata 1 and 2. A Free Verse Sonnet in two parts

Work: Cantanta 1

Day and night, I toil …

An avalanche of fear torments me.

I push through the pain of another Friday’s dawn,

Struggles past the bathroom door; the wardrobe,

The front door … hoping to make sundown.

The Spirit is tired … the Heart weeps;

My caged bird longs for Freedom.

Work: Cantata 2

Blessed is the one who has found his work.

My soul-bird ascends on another glorious virgin morn,

The taste of the morning’s redolence,

Still fresh upon its breath.

Duty sings upon the Light of Monday’s calling,

As the Joys of my Heart dances, like a butterfly,

Gliding elegantly, into the distant sky…

Quote about work

“Let us realize that: the privilege to work is a gift, the power to work is a blessing, the love of work is success! -Rumi

Quote from Elizabeth Elliot

“Work is a blessing. God has so arranged the world that work is necessary, and He gives us hands and strength to do it. The enjoyment of leisure would be nothing if we had only leisure. It is the joy of work well done that enables us to enjoy rest, just as it is the experiences of hunger and thirst that make food and drink such pleasures.” – Elizabeth Elliot

Can work be a veritable blessing?

The poems and quotes are very interesting this week, Manatita. The first poem is especially thought provoking. I think the lantern in the photo is charming.

      Beautiful songs and lovely quotes.

Work is truly a blessing that results in true Happiness if done honestly; leaving the results to God.

Yes, "work [is] a veritable blessing" no matter what work we are destined to perform although no one can actually recognize it until they have transcended being "incomplete minds unable to comprehend all things" by living every possible "Chakra" attribute individually and finally living them all as a single Chakra.

To understand "chakra attributes" I use the Bible's divisions of Yin (femininity) and Yang (masculinity) and all deviations, the four ethnics of Asians, American natives, Africans natives and Europeans and all possible mixes, 12 tribes of Ishmael individually and integrated and 12 tribes of Israel individually and integrated plus all of those possible combinations [I don't know the sum of that equation].
