Mirror reflections

A walk down memory lane

Reliving moments

Through laugh lines and wrinkles

A look into the mirror

Memories brought back to life

Reliving the past in the present

Quantum leap from then to now

Twin images are different somehow

Is that me, I wonder

Time has played its game

Stitching one moment at a time

Drawing on my skin

Outlining my image

Me as I am today

As time holds up a mirror

I wonder, is that me

Who is that stranger on the other side

Time, drawing me away

Trying to reign in my spirit

Weighing me down

I break free from the shackles

My spirit soars

I am born again

I am free

How true your words are. Looking in the mirror these days can be quite a shock to me. Where has the time gone? Lovely poem.

Mirrors can be strange devices that do far more than just provide a reflection. This is an interesting poem with a very inspirational ending. Thank you for sharing it, Nithya.

This is surreal. Mirrors can be an enemy or a kind friend. Thought provoking for sure.

Dear Ms. Vellur, I really liked your poem. For me the mirror is different now.
