Mirror Reflections-Moments In Time

Nithya Venkat enjoys writing about nature and different aspects of life in the form of poetic verses.

One Moment

One Moment

Mirror reflections

A walk down memory lane

Reliving moments

Through laugh lines and wrinkles

A look into the mirror

Memories brought back to life

Reliving the past in the present

Quantum leap from then to now

Twin images are different somehow

Is that me, I wonder

Time has played its game

Stitching one moment at a time

Drawing on my skin

Outlining my image

Me as I am today

As time holds up a mirror

I wonder, is that me

Who is that stranger on the other side

Time, drawing me away

Trying to reign in my spirit

Weighing me down

I break free from the shackles

My spirit soars

I am born again

I am free

Thank you Brenda, you are right. It is what the eyes perceive that really matters.

So many great lines in this one

Reliving moments

Through laugh lines and wrinkles

And

Quantum leap from then to now

Twin images are different somehow

This poem tells the story of how our reflection shows us our life.

The mirror is an amazing object...but it's what iur eyes perceive that matters.

Great write.

Mirrors are deceiving when the reflection is not true to the self.

Mirrors are deceiving to me I do not look much in the mirror. A surprise of how poetry holds my eye and you have showed that in your expressions.

Mirrors can be strange devices that do far more than just provide a reflection. This is an interesting poem with a very inspirational ending. Thank you for sharing it, Nithya.

This is surreal. Mirrors can be an enemy or a kind friend. Thought provoking for sure.
