Again, Brenda, a talented writer has come up with another word prompt "mirror" which is a word I felt like would have amazing responses from different angles. For me, I didn't think I could come up with anything but I took time to feed my thoughts and pay attention to the image in the mirror and here we go!

Looking in the mirror can have a huge blow on your self esteem if you don't see what you want and it can be very devastating. I believe we all carry a measure of beauty, no one is without beauty. Look at the mirror and you'll see.

Whenever I look at the mirror I see a lot of things, I see someone very mesmerizing, I see my weaknesses, I see my strengths and I tell myself girl, you look good, you're a good girl, doing amazing stuff and I love you.

And of course, there are times when I've looked at the mirror and seen a sad girl, reminded of what I haven't done, tired of looking in her own eyes but I still looked in the mirror anyway, motivating myself to go and be who I wanted to be.

Most importantly, I see me and I think I won't have it any other way.

Poem: Mirror Reflection

I look into the mirror,

I see my uneven, blemished skin.

My unrefined eyebrows,

messy hairline,

A fragile frame.

The mirror shows all of my imperfections,

My insecurities.

Wondering where these images come from,

I don't think I like who I see.

I see a bleak face,

Reflecting back sadness.

I wouldn't come to the mirror anymore.

It doesn't make me who I want to be.

Whatever I hoped,

I lost it in front of him.

And then the mirror says to me:

'I show it as it is, unbiased,

Only truthful.

Embrace the world, without care.

Realise there's so much to you,

Than skin and frame.

Do not let flaws affect your smile.

What makes you beautiful cannot be seen.'

Hearing these words,

I smiled at the mirror

And he smiled back at me.

You can look in the mirror and find a million things wrong with yourself. Or you can look in the mirror and think, 'I feel good, I have my health, and I'm so blessed.' That's the way I choose to look at it'-- Isla Fisher

Acrostic Poem

Mirror! an object to analyze yourself.

It Reflects back to you what you look like, not who you are.

Revealing to us appearance only.

Reflection we see has nothing to do with how others see us.

Only answer to the person in the mirror and,

Reach for what you really are.

"There's nothing more, nothing better in life to wake up in the morning, look at yourself in the mirror, and feel comfortable with yourself and who you are.''

Tobe

I love your introduction showing us how different moments can be when we look in the mirror. The view is not always the same.

In your poem, Poem: Mirror Reflection you remind us that true beauty is on the inside.

Great poem!

In your Acrostic Poem you remind us that the mirror only shows us a reflection of our outward appearance.

Our true selves, the one others can see, is not there.

We need only be true to ourselves and reach for our desires.

These are both great poems with strong messages.

Great job!

I will lost a link in the word prompt article.
