Mimicry
Mimicry
What’s with the mimicry?
Have you no originality?
Mimicry
What can be there underneath my floor?
Stick around, entertain me some more
Be my friend and we’lI dance all night
You’re very wired and won‘t soon stop your plight
Why stay down beneath dark floorboards?
Is it ‘cause rent you cannot afford?
And what’s with the mimicry?
Have you no originality?
Why mimicry, now?
Why mimicry, now?
Why mimicry, now?
Why mimicry, now?
What can be there underneath my floor?
Be my guest, but let’s dance ‘till we soar
Mimic me, I sure don’t care
Just stay here and don’t you go nowhere
I have no friends ‘cause I stay inside
There’s something way too strange with the world outside
Stay with me and we’ll dance ev’ry day
Though mock me, you never betray
Why mimicry, now?
Why mimicry, now?
Why mimicry, now?
Why mimicry, now?
But must I teach you to dance free of charge
Since you still mimic me?
Though I like teaching to a degree
You vex my sanity
Yeah!
Oh, why mimicry, now?
Why mimicry, now?
Why mimicry, now?
Why mimicry, now?
Mimicry
Though I like teaching to a degree,
you vex my sanity!
Mimicry
Mimicry
Echoes can be close,
personal friends,
until they wreck
our nerves
by mimicking us,
without end!
Mimicry
Mimicry
Mimicry
Have you ever
had an echo
as a very close
and personal friend?
Did it mimic you,
relentlessly,
without any
fathomable end?
Our shadow
is like a “visual echo”
that copies
our every move;
if we walk, it will also walk,
and if we dance,
it will most assuredly
get into the groove!

Another knock-out piece, Tamara. Sorry, I got here so late, but better late than never!

No. Your voice is very sweet … very sincere. It is so special being ourselves! Simplicity becomes a boon then. Much Love, Tamara.

If I could put audio in here, Manatita, I would sing it for you! This would be fun for me, and scary for you!
❤️❤️❤️

What if it's another real person mimicking me? I'll have to make it worth the while. Good job of providing the tune.

Interesting. An original piece. Trying singing it for me. How are the children? Much Love, Tamara.

Ha ha... Flourish. It’s an echo-o-o-o-o. Or, it could be a monster pretending to be my echo...yikes! Lol.
❤️❤️❤️

Makes me wonder now what’s underneath the floorboards
