I want to

be done blaming

the old woman

the old man

the old everything

While huge strawberries

laced with pesticide

and bitter disappointment

press slightly hard

against each other

in the plastic

crate, slowly rotting

to inevitable death

As we are

We all are

Suddenly I need

all these things

a large spoon

a clean pot

to go slow

to be grounded

I try delegation

without the impatience

I grow restless

doing too much

not doing enough

I hear flies

that don't exist

and I am

bleeding

infected

dejected
