Majestic Mountains—Poem

Chitrangada likes to express herself by writing fiction and poetry. Her writing reflects her mood and is inspired by the beauty of nature.

Majestic Mountains

Majestic Mountains

Prompt Word—Majestic

This poem has been composed with a Prompt, given by my fellow writer and friend,

—Brenda Arledge.

Brenda is a wonderful creative writer, and has composed many beautiful poems, on HubPages and other writing platforms. She is right in assuming that word prompts, help creativity.
When I came across the word, ‘Majestic’ for this week, many ideas came rushing to my mind. I find unlimited inspiration in Nature, the flowers, the birds, the trees, the rains, the river, the sea, sky, clouds, and many more.
Mountains and hills are one of them.

Hope you like this, Brenda.

Mighty and Majestic —The Mountains

Mighty and Majestic —The Mountains

Majestic Mountains—Poem

Magical, and Mysterious,

Majestic, and rocky,

Treeless, and trackless,

Steep, and pathless,

Mighty, yet serene,

Vivacious, yet calm,

High, higher, highest,

Majestic, and rocky,

Towering, and heavenly,

Picturesque, and volcanic,

Your silence speaks,

You draw me closer,

You challenge me,

You inspire me,

You exhibit strength,

You symbolise positivism

You are fascinating,

You are enthralling,

You are magnetic,

You are Majestic.

This is a beautiful response to Brenda's word prompt. The word "Majestic" indeed reminds of mountains, especially the Himalayas. I love the Himalayan mountains !! They are a part of my being. In my early childhood, during my stay in Bongaigaon (Assam), my day used to start with the beautiful sight of the distant, enthralling blue Himalayan ranges visible from the window of my bedroom .... and there are many, many memories of stay and visits in the Himalayan regions .... happy to be reminded of them. Love and regards to you.
