Intro:

Welcome to the third installment of Lyrics From the Beach. I write a lot of lyrics but since I’m not a musician I don’t know if they can set to music. some of my songs are parodies of popular songs since I can write them to a tune.

Others are just some of the many lyrical tunes which pop into my head, This Hub is a mixture of both.

Life is like a musical. We are always dancing to the tune in our heads.

Don’t Wake Me In The Morning

Don’t wake me this morning, baby

I have nothing to do today anyway

Don’t wake me this morning, baby

In my bed I want to stay, today

There is no work for me, as planned

There is no place to go, for me

All I have is a lot of time, at hand

My calendar is opened and free

I see no need to get out of bed today

I’ll lay my head back on the pillow

Don’t wake me this morning, baby

I have nothing to do today anyway

Don’t wake me this morning, baby

In my bed I want to stay, today

Hopefully the sun won’t shine so early

What does it really matter anyway

Closed the curtains and the shades

Eventually I’ll get up, start my day

Til then I’ll keep them closed so tight

So I won’t be blinded by the light

Don’t wake me this morning, baby

I have nothing to do today anyway

Don’t wake me this morning, baby

In my bed I want to stay, today

If you want you can stay with me

Til will feel it is time for us to rise

Don’t wake me this morning, baby

I have nothing to do today anyway

Don’t wake me this morning, baby

I have nothing to do today anyway

Don’t wake me this morning, baby

In my bed I want to stay, today

Living In A Chair

Once upon a time not so long ago

Had a good job, and places to go

Now it’s so hard, it’s tough, it’s tough

To get out of the house, enough, enough

Government says we we’ve got to hold on

The pandemic is not quite done, not done

So keep wearing face masks, stay at home

Stuck in the house, like it or not

Whoa, are we even half way there

Whoa sitting in my chair

Getting so tired, don’t like it their

Stuck at home, sitting in my chair

Whoa sitting in my chair

Used to hang with my friends at work

Now it’s just my wife and I who talk

So tough, so tough

My wife’s missing trips to the pool

And all of her friends too

We keep thinking someday

It’ll be okay, okay

Till then I’ll be here, sitting in my chair

Whoa sitting in my chair

Bored In The USA

Bored in the USA

Bored in the USA

I’m bored in the USA

I’m bored in the USA

So bored on the USA

Doing the same thing again today

Like I did in all my yesterday’s

Sitting on my butt watching the TV

Staring at the screen like a zombie

Bored in the USA

Bored in the USA

I’m bored in the USA

I’m bored in the USA

So bored on the USA

Getting tired of this stay at home jam

Entertaining myself as best I can

Watching Netflix, Hulu and Prime

It’s how I spend most of my time

Bored in the USA

Bored in the USA

I’m bored in the USA

I’m bored in the USA

So bored on the USA

Been three months, maybe more

Since I’ve gone anywhere, but the store

Gotta wear a mask says the boss man

Somebody please tell me what’s the plan

Bored in the USA

Bored in the USA

I’m bored in the USA

I’m bored in the USA

So bored on the USA

Getting tired of this stay at home jam

Entertaining myself as best I can

Eye to Eye

Had to throw one serious one in because of the times were living through.

We come from two different worlds

You and I

That is why we don’t see

Eye to eye

Our differences keep us apart

Never understanding each other

Never willing to start

Only eye to eye

Is how were gonna change

This world

There comes a time

When you gotta understand

Together our differences

Will help us stand

Make us stronger

Help us to lead the way

To a better world

For our children today

We need to stand together

Stop tearing the world apart

It is time to stop the wars

Look deep into our hearts

You’ll find we are all the same

Stop pointing the finger

Stop passing the blame

Because

Eye to eye is how

Were gonna change this world

Make it a netter place for our families

Eye-to-eye is where we need to be

Can’t we just start

You and me.

Get A Dog

Met a woman out walking her dogs, she said get a dog

Had a Labrador in one hand shepherded in the other

She said all the lovin you need, you get from a dog

The dogs pulled her along, I started to laugh

Get a dog to walk down the road

Makes it easier to get up and go

Makes a life worth more living

Get a dog, get a dog

Get a dog while you can

To love and walk by the hand

To play with, throw a ball

To call a friend, in thick and thin

Get a dog while you can

A big one or a little one

Whatever is your fancy

Saw a man today walking his dog, a little thing

Some kind of little breed, I don’t know which

He said to get a dog, it’ll make your heart sing

The dog started yipping, it made me laugh

Get a dog to walk down the road

Makes it easier to get up and go

Makes a life worth more living

Get a dog, get a dog

You Just Can’t Believe

I read the news today, oh yeah

About what’s going on in the world

And though the news is mostly sad

I just have to say to myself

I just have to think

You just can’t believe

Everything they tell you

Everything they put into print

Just cause it is called news

I saw the TV news today, oh yeah

About what’s going on in the world

And though the new is mostly bad

I have to say to myself

I just have to think

You just can’t believe

Everything they tell you

Everything they show in clips

Just cause it is called news

I’ve learned over the years, oh man

To take the time to check the facts

To make sure the news I’m getting

Is the news that’s really happening

Cause You just can’t believe

Everything they tell you

Everything they show in clips

Just cause it is called news

Didn’t mean it’s actually real

Some Final Words

At the beach things are different this year. I guess things are different all over. All the lyrics in Volume 7 except for one were meant to bring a little bit of a smile. Eye to Eye was written a few years ago about a certain incident that happened to me. I thought it was appropriate for these time.

As always thanks for reading my lyrics. Stay safe and well.
