Loves Beacon

I see you from afar.

Yet I can clearly see your intentions.

Your body language beckons me.

Every movement carries a purpose.

It lures me in like a fish hooked on a reel.

I'm captured and captivated by your dance.

Now entangled in a web of lust and love.

I'm yours to feed on.

You devour my heart and soul.

We become one.

Forever together, in love.

Lora, thanks so much for taking the time to read my poem. Your comments are always wonderful. I appreciate it. My wife and I actually met on Valentine's day. I don't know what it was, but the first time I saw my wife(woman in the drawing) somehow knew she was the one for me. It's kind of cliche, but I guess it was "Love at first sight.". My wife and I will be celebrating our 25th anniversary this February 14, 2020. We are still very much in love. I glad you liked my pastel drawing as well.

The power of attraction wrapped up in beautiful poetry. The portrait is stunning Jason.

Crezyl from Philippines on December 15, 2019:

If you were only a Filipino Jason, I would definitely say "sana all". You were in love to your muse. ❤ Thank you for sharing it.

Lora Hollings on December 15, 2019:

A lovely poem that captures the passion that you have for this person. Who can really explain attraction. It's rather mysterious when we really think about it. Why do we have such a strong attraction to some and yet none to others? Very nice job on the portrait too.

John Hansen from Queensland Australia on December 15, 2019:

A nicely written tribute of attraction to the one you love, Jason. Love the pastel art work too.
