Love Was Easy

I love to write poems and I enjoy everything that's poetic because poetry is always soothing and perfect for the soul.

Love was easy nothing was enough

With a look of a sigh of a touch of a laugh

And I opened my arms to you and you opened yours to me

No need to think and no need to say

The love was easy and the sky clear

In the canopy the stars came to cling

If we could not find the shepherd's star

We knew where to go to hoist the mainsail

Love was easy and winter was far

There was no season but that of desire

We went through the nights and burned the mornings

The past was far and far away to come up

Love was easy and the past returned

It had the heavy features of an old tune

Where time comes to lay its paw of sorrow

Between bodies knotted like two strands of wool

Love was easy it was so light

Not made for gust and more fluff than stone

So little bargain concluded so little the air of a project

He left each to his yesterday's paths

Love was easy it looked like nothing

Of that nothing whose night ghosts get dressed

I let return in my early mornings

This shadow which set fire to my bowers

Love was easy, it won't come back

But I keep this shadow warm in the memory

Clinging to my gestures, attached to my steps

This shadow that makes me sing in the dark night
