Love The Children
I have been writing poetry, fiction and short stories for many years and have completed a book of poems. I also enjoy comedy writing.
Children need love
They are innocent souls which needs to be guided
Children are blessings to us
Embrace them with care, never to sidestep or chided
Just take a look, look in the eye of an innocent new born
Pure to the world, unaware of the human storm
They need to be reassured that they are special
For a nation without beautiful kids would be detrimental
Children need love
They need to be taught life lessons outside of school
To think for themselves, to love the land, and never to be misused
Take a child’s hand,
Sit the child down and tell them something beautiful
Give them knowledge about the earth
Explain to them the significance of their birth
Hug your child, let them know you love them so much
Let them feel secure in our presence
Give a kiss on the forehead, a ruffle in the hair
Things that are little, but speak much
Doesn’t it break your heart when a child cries?
Don’t you feel empowered to help them in the hardest times?
Give a hanky, wipe their eyes
Wash their wounds, hush them, and make them smile
Remember, children live what they learn and learn what they live
So, care, love, commitment, respect and protection is what we must give.
