Love Loves Hate

I have been writing poetry, fiction and short stories for many years and have completed a book of poems. I also enjoy comedy writing.

Love and Hate

Love and Hate

Love loves hate

It cannot do otherwise

It accepts hate for what it is, may be dark, maybe raging red or yellow like the butterflies

Love knows hate all too well and knows hate needs healing

So love opens its harms to embrace hate, instead of scuffing and leaving

Love has seen all the bad things hate has done

Yet love believes there is hope for hate, despite hates smoking gun

So many bad things in hate love has seen

Love has witness children bordered from mothers and listened their desperate screams

Love has seen souls leave the bodies of little black boys

Scuffed out by their own kind and sometimes the upholders of laws

Love has seen little churched boys lured away with candies and cake

Only to be found in some bushes mutilated, gagged and bound like a slave

Love has seen the cries of battered wives

With hungry children begging for a change in their lives

Love knows that hate wants to see love die

But love prays for hate and pushes forward to give one more try

Love is so strong, very strong

Hate is so wrong, very wrong

Love makes you joyful and happy

While hate makes you bitter, frustrated and crappy

Hold on to the hands of love , take hate and love hate, teach hate a better way

For only when hate becomes love, the world will see a better day
