Love

Love is the silvery song of silent longing,

Love is the soothing symphony of Timeless belonging.

Its glow, like the soft radiance of rising sun

And its shades of shared moments of pain and fun,

Unveil the budding story of being and becoming.

Love is the silvery song of silent longing,

Love is the soothing symphony of Timeless belonging.

Its ambiance, like the purity of pearly dew drops,

Imparts fresh, fragrant breathes to sad, sinking hopes

And nurtures ONENESS with understanding and caring and sharing.

Love is the silvery song of silent longing,

Love is the soothing symphony of Timeless belonging.

I loved the two repeating lines of your poem.

"Love is the silvery song of silent longing,

Love is the soothing symphony of Timeless belonging."

The timeless belonging pretty well sums it up.

Thanks, Chitrangadaji.

It is true that it is very difficult to describe Love.

My first poem in Gujarati was titled “Prem”, the translation of which also got published in Hindi. I will try to publish the English translation of that poem. That poem also expresses the difficulty in describing Love and says, “.... experience it, the tip of my pen doesn’t have the strength to describe it !!”

Chitrangada Sharan from New Delhi, India on September 15, 2020:

Beautifully expressed poem.

I always feel that, it’s difficult to describe Love. But you did this in an impressive way.

Thanks for sharing.
