Lonely Road-A Poem

Updated on October 31, 2017

surrounded by love

yet still apart

no one sees

no one listens

to the footsteps I take

down this lonely road

the quest

is all my own

few feel the pull

the mystery beckons

yet few follow

a grey flower

in a field of white

Hopefully the happy ending will come.

I feel like I am that grey flower that no one sees.

I know poetry is subjective but I felt I wanted one more verse sort of a happy ending.

Have I missed the point entirely?
