Sweet View Among Wildflowers so Blue

lone-flower-surrounded-by-blue

A simple dandelion among earth and green

But even so, a pretty sight to be seen

Especially when surrounded by wildflowers

Late spring views do hold gentle powers

These moments of simplicity are dear

For just a few moments nothing to fear

As I stop along this winding path

I briefly grin and have a laugh

As my thoughts run a little wild

My imagination can be just like a child

I imagine the flower on stage for the crowd

Of his blue floral spectators, singing loud

Back to reality, I keep strolling along

And sing in my head a sweet cheerful song.

The humble dandelion is the star attraction in this picture Nella. Sometimes we overlook the beauty in simplicity and your poem is a reminder of this. Lovely.

There's a lot to be said about appreciating nature at this time. Your poem paints a great natural picture, which helps us all escape lockdown.
