Life in Metaphor of Driving a Car: A Rhyme to Entertain

Sex before marriage is wrong? Would you buy a car without test driving it?

Living our life is much like driving a car

as it doesn't matter where we want to go

because we are not bound to get very far

if operating that thing is what we don't know.

So many of us press on both gas and brake

wanting so badly to get from here to there

but stress of it is more than we can take

so we just end up with a quiet despair.

When in relationship we forget it's a two-way-street

so we place ourselves at the end of receiving line

expecting to be made happy and acting all beat

not much in mood to respect that "yield" sign.

If it was not for conscience that hidden cop

who knows what offences we would make

drive over limit, fail to slow down and stop

there wouldn't be rule we wouldn't break.

Our passengers in life -- often giving us stress

as we're stuck with them in that close space

boiling down to sharing the same address

it can make of life-story a shrink's case.

Well, that's why you won't see me in a fast lane

while being parked means my daily meditation

that's how I'm trying to keep my driving sane

always insisting on best fuel at gas station.

To keep my car rust-free took some knowing

but more important is how I keep it all inside

a public transportation isn't my way of going

'cause I truly don't like being taken for a ride.
