Let's Jump Over That Rainbow!: A Poem

Val is a life-long practically oriented student of effective emotional and attitudinal responses to the many challenges of life.

Jump over that rainbow and make it swift

make fun of the Reaper, and pull devil's tail

always take a straight line, don't let yours drift

and dare to tear down anybody's deceiving veil.

Look in the eye of weaknesses and pain

blast them with love and stubborn joy

never give in and be called insane

but call adversity your dear toy.

Let's live to its fullest you and I

and whoever joins us on that quest

and a heaven will turn out of that sky

so, let's settle for nothing but the best.

To live in constant worry is slowly dying

tears won't buy us compassionate words

life is way too short for any useless crying

this world was not meant for whining nerds.

Once when the game comes to its end

there is no luggage to be taken across

so, there is that rainbow, take my hand

let's make that jump like two real pros.

Paula---Not to worry, my dear. For, your worrying mind would never let you make that (quantum) leap anyway. So, you are running a bigger chance to need the E.M.T's and ambulance on THIS side of the rainbow. Thank you for joining my sense of humor with your witty comment.

May chocolates and bouquets be the consolation prize falling from that unreachable rainbow! --- Peace, Val.

I'll have to rest up and take my Vitamins if we're gonna be jumping rainbows!! Can we have the E.M.T.'s & the ambulance waiting on the ground, Val? I mean, my poor body has been through enough!!

I'll go along for the fun, but please bring me flowers and chocolates while I'm in traction??

Val, I am off to jump over some rainbows. I just need to catch my magic unicorn first. Good poem.

Nikki---Yes, even an apparent exaggerating poem about positivism in life can't say enough about its importance.

Brilliant, seems like clinging over the rainbows to get rid of dark and grey.

Being positive is much more necessary to get the rainbows at the end.

Sounds like fun to me, jumping over rainbows. Here's to many more years of you jumping over them.
