Let my Words Bloom in The Windows of Thy Soul

For millennia, I took a lot,

Gave a lot; sold a lot.

At last, I have nothing to sell,

Naught to give or take.

I offer my Heart in service,

Like the falling rain; a ray of sunshine.

As the rain glistening on fertile soil;

The sun surrendering its sustenance and hope,

Let my words bloom,

In the windows of thy soul like flowers.

Let them light up the fire of the Heart’s Love,

Arousing its ceaseless flame,

To awaken the innate stillness in thy core.

Manatita, The Lantern Carrier, 4th November, 2017.

The Sojourner

I am a sojourner, a wayfarer

Partaking in an invisible web of stories,

In silent conversation.

O pain, O adversity! My life! My lustre!

You chisel my dark doubts and allay my fears,

Only so that I can breathe again.

You chip at my insecurities,

Shining your sunbeams in my darkness,

While pointing me to your northern star.

In this duality called struggle,

My Light and my shadows,

Good and evil I deposit,

In this bank of owed and paid debts,

Until my breath becomes Your symphony and I dance on the wings of Love.

Dora Weithers from The Caribbean on November 08, 2017:

In the first poem, I love the imagery of words blooming like flowers. I sense the struggle in the second. So deeply appealing!

Very nice poems on Love and Spirituality after a long gap. Your words dance majestically always. Enjoyed both of them.

As always, beautiful expressions and I liked both!

Your words have in-depth meanings and I read them again and again, to understand them.

Thanks for sharing this and have a great day!

Hi Marlene,

Another of my good friends appearing. Are you well? Thank you so much!

I don't remember answering you... oh yes, I see my short answer. We are brothers in faith. You show a unique understanding and you do support me also. I'm tired. Give me a while and I'll look at your work. Much Love.

Marlene Bertrand from USA on November 06, 2017:

Many blessings to you. I love this poem.

Thank you, my friend. Good to be back. You understand my words. Peace.

Elijah A Alexander Jr from Washington DC on November 05, 2017:

I sternly agree with "Let My Words Bloom in The Windows of Thy Soul" and especially when the words encompass the entire 360 degrees of each subject matter by which one can comprehend the wisdom of those words. When they are wisdom they will "light up the heart's love [without conditions]" and cause one's own Agape to burn from their core and "love everything as one loves themselves" as I paraphrased from the one call Christ. In being a "The Sojourner" we want the words we pass along in going to bring enlightenment to all with the capacity to receive it and a burning desire to obtain it within those without such ability when we shared them.

They both are inspiring works, keep it up.

My very dear friend and soul sister. You are right. Of course I knew. Just having fun. Is all good with things? Como esta la vida?

I love your work. Thank you so much!! A most heart-rending sentiment.

You make me want to cry. God bless your Heart.

Linda Lum from Washington State, USA on November 05, 2017:

My dear, you are wrong. You wrote "... (I have) naught to give or take. I offer my Heart. That is the greatest thing one can offer.

Ioannis Arvanitis from Greece, Almyros on November 05, 2017:

Pure energy for my Soul and Mind! Thank you, brother manatita44. Thank you, once again.

Bill Holland from Olympia, WA on November 05, 2017:

I don't know if people on HP who read your poetry really understand how hard it is to do what you do. This is really so achingly beautiful. You are talent personified!

Peace and love

Thank you, Mahadeb. Welcome here!

whonunuwho, long time. Good to see you and our Lord's blessings to you too.

To me you are and have been since I've known you, a loving soul. So your direction does not surprise me. Well done!

I leave you with my friend Rumi:

The Gift of Love

"Both Light and shadow,

Are the dance of Love.

Love has no cause,

It is the astrolobe of God's secrets.

Lover and loving are inseparable and timeless.

Although I may try to describe Love,

When I experience it,

I am speechless.

Although I may try to write about Love,

I am rendered helpless.

My pen breaks, and the paper slips away,

To that ineffable place

Where Lover, loving and Love are One.

Every moment is made glorious

By the Light of Love."- Mevlani Jalaluddin Mohammed Rumi

Both are lovely and insightful. The second really hits home at the end. I've always felt that I as a whole person should be accepted and that I should accept others in the same way, good and evil, light and darkness. This is who I am.
