Lessons Fly Through my Head at the Speed of Light

I have stumbled across a new passion: writing. It is proving to be insightful and rewarding.

Words fly through my head at the speed of light.
Will I ever write them down fast enough, get them right?
I’d love to put them in a clever order to sing a song!
Why does it take so blasted long?

I lay on my bed in the very late night.
Thinking things and praying it's alright.
I find comfort in the words that I write.
They are my favorite friends who shine a tender light.

It's very early morning now.
Darkness is yielding to the light.
I've been over the horizon and felt the energy.
It's a time like no other to heal in unity alongside our neighbors.

Staring into the darkness I sense belonging and a heart felt connection to a sincere source of love.Together with singleness of thought within eternity I finally drift off to sleep. I float ever so dreamily to another world understanding lessons of intuition taken from above.

Thank you so much, Lorna! I'm glad you can relate! I did the artwork, also. Thanks for the compliment! I don't know if I already shared with you I self published a book of my poems this summer. It's available on Amazon. Titled: CAPTURED ECHOS

I enjoyed this wonderful poem and in particular the second verse. I also find comfort in writing and can relate to these thoughts. The artwork is stunning Laurie.
